Node Composer for Mac.
Privacy policy.
Node Composer is a Mac app. It keeps your work on your Mac and sends your content only where you tell it to. This page says what leaves your Mac, when, and what we keep: only what is said below.
What stays on your Mac
- Your library: projects, canvases, pictures, clips, sounds and generations are files and a database in the app’s own folder on your Mac (its sandbox container). They are not uploaded, synced or backed up by us.
- Your API keys for WaveSpeed and Runware are kept in your login keychain and sent only to the provider each belongs to, to sign your requests.
- Local models: the models you download (from Hugging Face) run on your Mac. Nothing you generate with them leaves it. What they make is checked on your Mac, by a classifier that comes with the app, so that explicit pictures are not kept; the check sends nothing anywhere.
- No tracking: the app has no analytics, no advertising identifiers and no crash reporting of its own.
What goes to AI providers, and only with your consent
Node Composer generates pictures, clips and text through providers you choose and pay yourself, with your own account: WaveSpeed (Singapore) and Runware (United Kingdom). The first time a card is about to be generated with a provider, the app asks for your consent and tells you what goes; you can take it back at any time in Settings › Providers.
What is sent, on your request, is what the card holds: your prompt, the pictures, clips and sounds wired into it, and the settings of the generation. When you dictate a prompt, the recording of your voice is sent to WaveSpeed, which transcribes it (Whisper). It goes straight from your Mac to the provider: Node Composer has no server of its own that your content passes through or is kept on. The providers process your content on their servers under their own privacy policies (WaveSpeed, Runware); the results come back to your Mac and are kept there. To know when a generation is done, the app asks the provider, with your key, every few seconds.
Purchases
The Studio Edition is a one-time in-app purchase sold by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles the purchase and your payment details; we receive no personal information from it.
Downloads from Hugging Face
Local models are downloaded from huggingface.co on your request. Hugging Face sees the request as any website does (your IP address). An optional access token, for gated repositories, is kept in your keychain.
Assistants (MCP)
The app can let AI assistants on your Mac (Claude Desktop, Codex, Cursor…) read your library and work on your canvases, through a server that listens on your Mac only (127.0.0.1) and only after you connect an assistant in Settings › Assistants. What an assistant does with what it reads is governed by that assistant’s own privacy policy.
Your rights
Apart from the emails you send us, we keep no personal data of yours, so there is nothing else for us to give access to, correct or delete; your content is on your Mac and on the provider accounts you own. To have an email of yours deleted, or for anything about this policy, write to info@node-composer.studio.
